Welcome to the exciting world of theater at Great Valley Middle School Theater Company! Great Valley has a long history of producing quality shows and meaningful theater experiences for students. We are dedicated to providing exceptional theatrical experiences for our students and the community. Our talented team of directors, instructors, and volunteers work hard to bring the magic of theater to life. Our passion for the performing arts drives us to create a supportive and inclusive environment, where everyone can explore their passion for theater. Production Team
Chris Salerno
Director
This is Mr. Salerno's first year as director. He served as technical and/or assistant directors on six previous GVMSTC productions. He has written and directed 16 short films starring fifth graders in KD Markley's Script to Screen Program. Mr. Salerno has taught in multiple grades and buildings since joining Great Valley in 2006. He currently teaches 5th grade at the Great Valley 5/6 Center.
Helena McKendrick
Choreographer, asst. Director
This is Ms. McKendrick's third year working with the GVMSTC. Growing up, she took dance lessons and performed with a dance company for fifteen years, studying jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, modern, and musical theatre. Ms. McKendrick teaches 6th grade and is looking forward to seeing many of her former middle school students and cast members during production.
Courtney Grady
Music Director, asst. Director
Mrs. Grady is back for her second year as Music Director at GVMSTC. She is a former music teacher and previously directed musicals at Charlestown Elementary.
Sean Steinmetz
Technical Director
This is Mr. Steinmetz’s first year as Technical Director. He is a Fourth Grade teacher at K.D. Markley where he wrote and recorded an original school-spirit song. Mr. Steinmetz has been performing live music for nearly 20 years and is an experienced audio engineer, singer, and guitar player. He can’t wait to put his experience to use for the GVMS Musical!
